Faculty of Information Technology (FTI) Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar)<\/strong><\/span><\/a> successfully held a public lecture with the theme \u201cUnderstanding the Essence of Machine Learning: Definitions, Intersections, and Applications,\u201d Monday (26\/8\/2024). The event, which took place online through Microsoft Teams, was attended by 111 FTI Untar<\/strong><\/span><\/a> students and featured Dr. Viciano Lee, B.B.A., M.Sc., Ph.D., as the main speaker. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Viciano Lee explained the basics of machine learning and its important role in the transformation of various industries. He explained that machine learning is not just a trend, but a tool that can process data to produce more accurate and efficient predictions. Dr. Viciano Lee also highlighted how machine learning integrates with artificial intelligence and big data, opening up many opportunities in the field of information technology. <\/span><\/p>\n

Students gained new insights into the potential applications of machine learning in various fields. Dr. Viciano Lee explained how this technology can be applied in various sectors, including healthcare, business, and finance. Machine learning helps in analyzing big data for more efficient decision making, and continues to evolve and open up new opportunities in various industries. <\/span><\/p>\n

The students’ enthusiasm was evident from the many questions asked during the Q&A session.They were interested to learn more about the potential of machine learning in overcoming future challenges and how to prepare themselves to utilize this technology in the workplace. <\/span><\/p>\n

The event was hosted by Viny Christanti Mawardi, S.Kom., M.Kom.<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, as the Head of Informatics Engineering Department of FTI Untar along with Lely Hiryanto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. who acted as the moderator.Their presence ensured the discussion went well and interactively, providing an interesting and informative experience for all participants.
