Faculty of Technology Information (FTI) Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of new students in a series of Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB) in 2024, Friday (16/8/2024).
PKKMB FTI Untar which lasted for three days from August 14 to 16, 2024, carried the theme “The Pursuit of A New Beginning.” This activity is designed to inspire and equip new students with relevant insights and a spirit of collaboration in a dynamic technological era.
This year, FTI Untar welcomes 378 new students who are ready to start their academic journey. Of these, 216 students joined the Informatics Engineering study program, while 162 others chose the Information Systems program.

PKKMB FTI Untar featured various events that combined academic and non-academic introductions. New students were invited to get to know the campus environment more closely, including the facilities in R Building, and were introduced to the march, jargon, and motto of FTI Untar.
Dean of FTI Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Dyah Erny Herwindiati, M.Si. opened the event by welcoming the new students, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovation in the digital era. He also emphasized that PKKMB is the first step to discovering one’s potential and building a strong academic foundation.
The event also involved presentations from lecturers and industry practitioners, including an explanation of academic and financial administration by Manager of Cooperation and Resources Tony, Ph.D. as well as a presentation on competition activities by Darius Andana Haris, S.Kom., M.T.I.
Head of Informatics Engineering Viny Christanti Mawardi, S.Kom., M.Kom. and Head of Information Systems Dr. Dedi Trisnawarman, S.Si., M.Kom. also gave an overview of their respective study programs.
In addition, the committee of PKKMB FTI Untar organized ice breaking activities and games to strengthen the relationship between students. Faculty tour and mentoring sessions also help new students adapt to the campus environment.
The PKKMB FTI Untar event was closed with a group photo and the announcement of the winners of games and creative video assignments. With high enthusiasm, the new students of FTI Untar are ready to start their academic journey, bringing the spirit of innovation and collaboration towards success in the world of technology. (AK)
